![]() ![]() If you are running any machines 24/7 on power supplies that aren't 80 Plus certified, let alone Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum, there are a good amount of power savings to be had. This is a great deal for an 80 Plus Bronze certified 500W power supply. My current power supply lasted less than 2 years and it was 10 times as loud (which cost 37.99 at Computer Discounts in Toledo).Need help installing it? I submitted a picture that may help. This is one quiet replacement power supply, highly recommended. ![]() ![]() All the other replacement power supply units that I have previously purchased had a 1-year warranty. This is not a big deal, but some instructions would of saved a few minutes of my time.Unit has three 4 pin peripheral connectors and 4 SATA inputs also.Guaranteed for 3 years and it is rated to last for 100,000 hours- that's 11.41 years using your computer 24 hours a day. This is a great quality feature but it definitely takes up more space on the inside of the computer, it is bulkier and it took a little longer to reposition the excess inputs after I plugged in everything, as I have 2 internal fans on the inside of the computer and one directly as a part of my motherboard to keep the heat sink cool that these excess input wires cannot be near. Also, the CPU 24 pin input that plugs into the motherboard needed to be separated at the bottom (gently pull apart) to fit my motherboard and the 8 pin black CPU input needed to be gently pulled apart into two 4 pin inputs to fit my motherboard (see the picture that I submitted). Remove the 3M tape when you are done. There are also a PCI-E, ATX and EPS connector that the average person will not use.The inputs have some special kind of see-thru shield mesh that all of the input wires have on them. No instructions included, so to make it a 15 minutes job, I labeled everything with 3M Blue tape that you are going to unplug. I installed it in a computer that is 4 years old and it wasn't the easiest power supply that I have replaced. Very solid and well put together 500-watt replacement power supply for your computer. Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2012 Extremely quiet, well built power supply. ![]()
